Do you offer a guarantee?

Are your products safe for my kids and family?

All products used by Bigfoot Pest Control’s programs are approved by the EPA. In addition, Bigfoot Pest Control is thoroughly trained in the proper use of these products. Our pest control technicians are individually certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture to handle and use these products for treatment and eradication of pests. They are considered safe as long as you follow our recommendations. When should I have my home sprayed for spiders?

May - September is the most desirable climate for exterior pest prevention to control summer pests including spiders.

When is the best time to spray for Stink Bugs?

Stink Bugs come inside and then lay their eggs in late summer and fall. August - October is the best time for treatment to control Stink Bug issues.

When should I have my home sprayed for lady beetles/cluster flies?

These pests lay their eggs in the fall, overwinter in a protected place (such as your attic) and then hatch in the spring and warmer months. Spraying when you see them in the spring is a waste of your hard earned money. We recommend vacuuming them up to be rid of them; and then calling us anytime from August to October to treat your property and prevent next year’s crop of pests.

Are your treatments safe for pets?

We’re pet lovers, too! All of the products in our pest control programs are approved by the EPA; and are not considered harmful as long as you follow our recommendations. We follow all EPA label directions for our application procedures. Keep in mind that some treatments require time to dry before pets can be allowed back into the treated area. If you have any special concern, please be sure to bring it to our attention.

Why should I hire a professional Pest Prevention service?

Pest management professionals are educated, trained and certified to handle the specific pest issues that you will encounter in and around your home. Bigfoot Pest Control’s professionals are also trained in the safe handling and proper application of materials used to eliminate or prevent pests.

What are the health risks associated with common pests?

Pests can transmit a number of potentially serious diseases, illnesses and allergies. Here are a few:
+ Cockroaches: Asthma, allergies, and food poisoning
+ Ticks: Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever
+ Fleas: Dermatitis, murine typhus and bubonic plague
+ Rodents: Hantavirus Pulmonary syndrome, murine typhus, salmonella and rat-bite fever
+ Mosquitoes: West Nile Virus, encephalitis, malaria
+ Bees/Wasps/Yellow Jackets: Severe allergic reactions including anaphylactic shock

Are your treatments and products environmentally responsible?

All of the products we use have been approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. All Bigfoot Pest Control technicians apply them in strict accordance with the safe handling guidelines set forth by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Agriculture.

I saw a mouse in my garage, is my house infested?

Not necessarily. You may have just a single mouse in the house. The only way to really know is to have a professional inspect for signs of infestation. Many times a single mouse will enter a home for food or shelter if the door is left open. That same mouse may make repeated visits. However, if you see more than one mouse, there is a greater likelihood that you have a rodent problem.

My pet brought in fleas and ticks. Do you treat for this?

Yes, Bigfoot Pest Control can provide treatment to eliminate fleas and ticks inside and around your home. However, we also believe it is a good idea to treat your pet(s). We encourage you to work with your pet’s veterinarian in selecting the best treatment option for their particular needs.
